The CHCP mission is to create and maintain a childcare program in which staff and parents contribute jointly to foster a kind and caring environment where children are nurtured and provided opportunities to develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually to their fullest potential.

Since the founding of the Chapel Hill Cooperative Preschool in 1960, the members and staff have been dedicated to providing a warm and loving environment for children’s learning and play. As a cooperative, our children have profited from a high level of parental involvement and communal responsibility.

CHCP is an NAEYC-accredited, five-star center.
